Overview

Engage in a comprehensive week of learning and collaboration focused on promoting inclusive education in international schools. Your schedule is designed to provide a mix of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities for strategic planning.

The program kicks off daily at 8:00 AM with opening remarks and logistics, followed by an “Ignite Speaker” session, with inspiring speakers.

Daily Schedule

Dedicate this time to one of SENIA’s cornerstone courses. Participants remain with the same course all week.

  1. Universal Supports: This course is highly recommended for school leaders. It focuses on systems of support designed to empower all learners, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
  2. Inclusive Admissions: A course tailored for those involved in the admissions process, focusing on embracing diverse learners in international schools.
  3. Understanding and Supporting Behavior: A comprehensive approach to addressing behavioral challenges in educational settings.

A certificate of completion is available at the conclusion of the course.

Elective blocks offer a range of topics to choose from. Select a different elective each day

  1. Utilizing AI to support all learners
  2. Financial models for inclusion of diverse learners
  3. Recruiting for inclusive schools
    Marketing, messaging, and addressing ableism
  4. Building capacity and changing mindsets
    Creating collaborative cultures
  5. Staffing models for MTSS
  6. Theory of Change and Change Models

These electives are designed to address specific aspects of inclusive education and designed with school leadership in mind.

Dedicate your afternoons to practical applications and teamwork

  1. Action planning sessions focus on developing inclusion policies
  2. Schools with sound policy in place will develop an action plan to move them along the disability inclusion continuum
  3. Regional consultations with Rosalind Wiseman
  4. Daily case studies presenting real-world scenarios for analysis and discussion

Each day one school shares their inclusion journey. They focus on one aspect, such as admissions, LCE programs, finances, and more.

Attendees are encouraged to engage and ask questions.
